Brisbane Dust Storm! Visibility in Brisbane, Caboolture and much of the eastern coast of Australia is reduced to under 200m with a large dust storm moving in from the west. More clouds of dust blew in for a few day after, but not as thick as the main dust band.

12th August 2009     Details
A thunder storm in August! After a 32 day dry spell, an unseasonal storm moved across from the west bring a small amount of rain and the most amount of lightning we have seen since the beginning of autumn.

17th-21st May 2009     Details
A huge amount of rain over a four day period, with local flooding shops and business closed and several cars under water.

A summer storm in autumn!!!! An impressive light show with wind and rain to complete the storm!

Tropical Cyclone Hamish    Details
Tropical Cyclone Hamish formed in the northern Coral Sea and slowly moved down the Queensland coast and quickly formed into a category 5 cyclone. As it moved down the coast it slowly weakened and turned around and moved to the north again. Not a huge amount of rain or wind from this system.
